Welcome to the Troop 52 web page. Currently the site addresses our meeting plans and calendars. We hope to add pages for the patrols, activities, awards, and district events.

Troop 52 is a growing troop. Our charter began in May 1999 through Valparaiso's AmVets Post 78. We have developed a great relationship with our sponsors. We have worked together on flag ceremonies, food drives, and other projects. Pack 52 is also sponsored by the AMVETS. We work closely with the pack.

I am the Scoutmaster. I've been in scouts for over 18 years. I work with the scouts advancements- encouraging them to work on rank and merit badges. My assistants Dave Mason and Bill Royal work well with the scouts to oversee skills taught for ranks. Our committee chairman is Maha Selim. She co-ordinates with the adult leaders for unit support.

In our troop, we focus on being a boy lead troop. We present the scouts with choices and ideas then let them plan what they want to do. We are also working on recruiting. This is important since we are a young troop in a small town. We are always looking for new boys and adults to join us.

Information on meetings is shown above. A sample troop meeting is given below to give you a feel for our troop. The calendar and scout's year plan will show some of the activities we have done or are planning to do. If you are interested in any more information or would like to visit a troop meeting, email us!
